Statement upload

Upload bank statements in CSV, PDF, XLS, or TXT format with automatic transaction parsing.

Upload bank statements and Getbeel extracts transaction data automatically with built-in bank and currency detection.

Supported Formats

Getbeel accepts the following file types:

  • CSV — Comma-separated values, the most common export from banking portals
  • PDF — Scanned or digital PDF statements, parsed with OCR when needed
  • XLS — Excel spreadsheets exported from banking platforms
  • TXT — Plain-text statement files with tab or fixed-width formatting

Maximum file size: 50 MB.

Uploading

  1. Go to Reconciliations
  2. Click Upload Statement
  3. Drag and drop your file or click to browse

Automatic Detection

Getbeel analyzes the uploaded file and automatically detects:

  • Bank name — Identified from file headers, formatting, and metadata
  • Account number (last 4 digits) — Extracted for reference without storing the full number
  • Statement period — Start and end dates parsed from the file
  • Currency — Detected from the file content or bank metadata

This metadata is displayed alongside each statement in the dashboard so you can quickly identify and organize your uploads.

What Gets Parsed

Each transaction is extracted with: date, value date, description, reference, counterparty, amount, running balance, and type (transfer, payment, fee, etc.).

Balance Validation

Running balances are tracked to catch import errors early. Mismatches trigger a warning before matching begins.

Multiple Statements

Upload multiple periods to build a complete reconciliation history. Each statement tracks its own matching status independently.

Security

All files are encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to workspace members through row-level security.
